Police: One dead, one injured following shooting near 95th & Brown Deer

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a homicide and shooting that occurred on the city’s north side.

It happened near N. 95th and W. Brown Deer Road around 10:10 p.m. Thursday, October 9th.

According to police, a 33-year-old woman from Milwaukee suffered what is believed to be a non-life threatening gunshot wound.  She was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Police say 22-year-old Itavian Belcher from Milwaukee was also shot at that same location.

After being shot, he ran to the 9400 Block of W. Brown Deer Rd. where he collapsed

Life saving efforts by the Milwaukee Fire Department were unsuccessful and he died from his injury.

Residents nearby are furious after Thursday night’s shooting. A mother of two was struck, and a man’s life was lost.
